Hello to all of you lovely people reading my bio – I hope you enjoy my story! I began my hairdressing journey over 25 years ago, opening my first salon at just 19. After refining my skills across the hair, beauty, and barbering industries, I became an educator and ambassador for Keune Cosmetics. In 2017, I moved to Manchester and co-founded Avesta, which has since grown into both a salon and academy by 2024. While my passion for hairdressing runs deep, my true joy lies in making my clients feel incredible about themselves and leaving the salon with a smile. I'm an all-round hairdresser, but here are a few areas I particularly enjoy: I get excited about drastic colour changes and colour corrections. I thrive on the challenge, and technical services are my specialties. I love working with Asian and Middle Eastern hair to achieve hair goals that might seem impossible. My approach involves mixing and matching colouring techniques to create your perfect look. Working with naturally curly and Afro-Caribbean hair is another specialty of mine. As someone with curly hair, I understand the challenge of finding the right cut and style. I'll pamper your curls and offer advice on the best products to style them at home. I love cutting and styling hair, tailoring my approach to the feel and texture of each client's hair. Whether you're after a sleek bob or long layers, I'll help you achieve your ideal look. I also enjoy barbering. Men's hair services may be less versatile, but it allows me to get creative. You'll be amazed at how small changes can have a big impact on your overall appearance. Hair extensions are one of my favorites. I've been doing them since they were first introduced, and I love adding volume and length with classic weaves, micro and nanobeads, or tapes. I'm always happy to advise you on the best colour and cut that suits your face shape, skin tone, and lifestyle, ensuring a personalized look. It brings me great joy to see my clients leave the salon feeling confident, thinking, 'Wow, I look amazing today.' My passion for hair is immense – I truly live, breathe, and sleep it. I was first introduced to the world of hairdressing and barbering 15 years ago after my graduation, and I was instantly captivated by the artistic side of the industry. The ambiance, creativity, and the camaraderie of salon life are what drew me to pursue this career. As a stylist, I take great pride in creating bespoke cuts and styles tailored to each client's unique needs. I believe it's essential to help my clients understand their hair type and show them how to easily maintain their desired look at home. Along the way, I love sharing the tricks and techniques that make a real difference in achieving the perfect style. I enjoy meeting new people and having engaging conversations with my clients, whether it's about social issues, politics, or simply having a fun, casual chat. I'm the Salon Manager at Avesta Hair Ltd, and my hairdressing journey began at the age of 17 when I started my apprenticeship, which I completed with distinction. I am always striving to better myself and expand my knowledge in the industry, which is why I'm currently working towards an additional qualification in hairdressing. I am truly passionate about my craft and the work I create. I take the time to listen to my clients, understanding their needs, and I love bringing my own creative ideas to life, ensuring the services I provide align with their image, lifestyle, and personality. My goal is to make sure every client leaves the salon feeling confident and happy. Colouring is my favourite part of the job. I find highlights particularly satisfying to do, and if you're looking to become a blonde bombshell, I'm the stylist for you! I also love creating balayages and ombrés. A perfectly blended balayage can work with any hair colour – whether it's rich browns, blondes, coppers, reds, or anything else. A personal favourite of mine is copper, as I love the vibrant, glowing effect it gives. I also have a deep passion for working with long hair. I enjoy crafting layers around the face to enhance my clients' beauty, and I'm particularly excited about the bangs trend that has become so popular recently. I find styling long hair thrilling—whether it's curls, waves, or straight looks, I can bring any style you desire to life. I have always had a passion for hair. My hairdressing journey started by experimenting on my friends hair when I was a young girl. I then joined the Trafford Collage doing my full time level 2 hair and beauty and I enjoyed every minute of it. I have experienced working in high street salons and finally found the right one for me at Avesta over 5 years ago.
I enjoy working with long hair. Balayages and other colour techniques are my favourites as the allow me to use my talent and creative side. curls/curly blow dry and curly hair are my other specialities. I love doing a full transformation from start to finish and make people amazed and happy.
Having more than 10 years experience in the industry and wining multiple creative awards, I would consider myself a versatile stylist and can work from hair from different ethnicities, I also enjoy vivid colours and short cuts.

Hello everyone, My name is Valerio, and I'm originally from Rome, Italy. I moved to Manchester in 2017. Growing up in a family of hairdressers, I knew from a young age that I wanted to follow in their footsteps. I started my journey in the hair industry at 15 when I joined a hairdressing college in Rome, and it was clear from the start that this was going to be my lifelong career. I'm passionate about seeing the transformations that happen when people find the right hairstyle, and my challenge is always to find the perfect style for each client. I particularly enjoy working with curly hair, as I absolutely love curls, but I'm confident working with all hair types and styles, from classic cuts to modern and creative looks. With over 25 years of experience, I've learned countless techniques and tricks to provide my clients with the most personalized service possible. Hello, lovely people! I’m Jay, and I’ve been passionate about hairdressing for 18 years. Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to work across many different areas of the industry, continually developing my skills and keeping up with the latest techniques, trends and products.
I’m an all-round hairstylist, with a particular passion for colour, balayage, cutting and hair extensions. I love creating personalised looks that suit the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether it’s a complete colour transformation, a beautifully blended balayage, a precision cut or adding length and volume with extensions, I love creating a look that makes my clients feel their absolute best.
Colour is a huge passion of mine, particularly balayage and dimensional colour. I enjoy the technical side of hair just as much as the creative side — understanding the condition and history of the hair, choosing the right techniques and formulas, and creating beautiful results while maintaining the integrity of the hair.
Throughout my career I’ve completed extensive training with some of the industry’s leading professional hair brands, continually expanding my knowledge in colour, treatments, cutting and styling. I’m a firm believer that you never stop learning in this industry, and I’m always looking for ways to develop my skills and bring new techniques into my work.
I’ve also had experience working in session styling and fashion, including opportunities to work on projects for brands such as Gym King and PrettyLittleThing (PLT). Working in these environments has given me experience creating hair that needs to look incredible both in person and in front of the camera, while working to briefs and within fast-paced professional environments.
Hair extensions are another area I particularly love. I enjoy creating seamless, natural-looking transformations, whether the goal is adding length, volume, thickness or enhancing a client’s existing colour and style. I’ve worked with different extension techniques and love the confidence that a great set of extensions can give someone.
I’ve also gained experience within the professional hair and beauty industry beyond the salon floor, including brand work, training and working alongside some fantastic professionals throughout my career. These experiences have allowed me to develop not only as a stylist but also as a professional within the wider industry.
For me, hairdressing has always been about more than simply cutting and colouring hair. It’s about people. I love getting to know my clients, understanding what they want and helping them find a look that makes them feel confident. There’s nothing better than seeing someone look in the mirror at the end of an appointment and genuinely love what they see.
After 18 years in the industry, I still have the same excitement for hair that I had when I started. I’m constantly learning, creating and challenging myself — and I’m looking forward to continuing that journey and creating some amazing hair along the way.

I've loved hairdressing since I was a little girl, so starting my journey at Avesta Hair at just 16 has been a really special part of my life. I'm Level 2 and Level 3 qualified, and my passion for hair and colour has only grown since.
I specialise in bespoke colour tailored to each client, from bright, creamy blondes and fresh highlights to soft, lived-in balayage and rich, expensive-looking brunettes. I love combining techniques to create colour that feels personal to you, whether you're after a complete transformation or a subtle refresh.

My journey in hairdressing began at Avesta in August 2024. I qualified with my NVQ Level 2 in June 2026, and I'm now training towards my Level 3 so I can create amazing hairstyles for you all.
So far, my favourite part of hairdressing is blow-dries. Whether it's big, bouncy curls or full, voluminous hair, short or long, I love it all! I'm excited to start creating looks that include balayage, highlights and butterfly cuts.
What I love most about learning here at Avesta is being able to explore different styles, discover my strongest skills and develop new ones. I chose hairdressing because I want to make people feel beautiful, meet new people and follow my passion for hair.
Outside of work, I'm a cheerleader, and my team has been lucky enough to compete all over England and in America. Cheerleading has given me confidence in myself and taught me how to support the people around me, which I bring into everything I do.
